 कहीं आग में जलते को बारिस की नमी मिल जाए  रेगिस्तान के प्यासे को नहर का नीर मिल जाए,  सागर में डूबते को जहाज़ का सहारा मिल जाए और इस मुरझाते जहाँ में मुझे तु मिल जाए,  गुल खिलते होंगे बाग में, मेरे दिल में शोले खेलते थे | तूने उन शोलों का दीपक सजाया  मेरे हर अंधेरी रात को तूने दिवाली बनाया,  मेरे हर ज़ख्म का मरहम बना तु,  हर बदसूरती का आशिक बना तु  अगर इस जिंदगी को क़ुदरत बेघर कर जाए,  तो इस रूह की आख़िरी पनाह बना तु |

 Strands of mind intertwined through time, By the long and lovely years we spent.  Together are our hearts, actions and intentions Even if we lie miles apart in lament. No pain of mine hurts you any less  Than any wound of yours,  It has grown over time, a love like a crime  Making every moment of wait harder to ensure. The bed of sleep, where desires grip  Now a dream of darkness & hunger,  Never thought of a day, where you come to play  With my hidden, fragile, wonder.  A game of hide & seek, where ecstasy weeps  And the promises you lovingly keep.  Provoking my madness to ruminate further,  Where our control threatens to slip. Yet we knowingly walk the tight rope of affection  Relishing the challenge of the heat,  Where none of us knows the end or the shore  Just choosing each other in a heartbeat.

  Those eyes who have seen nightmares Those ears that have heard deception Those hands that joined in silent pleading Those lips that have been forced to utter twisted truths, Have found an unreal piece of peace. They are grateful to the universe and time For letting them witness a couple so fine, Whose every thought and action seems to carry an unyielding care for each other As if nothing in the world could ever be a bother. Their beauty blooms so far and wide That it covers their witness with them inside. They hold each other in sweet banter and hugs Going far enough to shield from any harsh tugs, She vows to fuel their passionate flame Keeping an eye to take away even a flick of blame. She calls them family and wishes longevity, In her eyes they always deserve to reach the eternity.

  आजकल सीने में एक अजीब सा दर्द मेहसूस होने लगा है, पहले सहलाने पर जो गायब हो जाता था अभी हर दवा उस पर बेअसर जा रहा है | जिस ज़ुबां पर हमेशा कोई बात होती थी, उसके लफ़्ज़ टूटने लगे हैं कभी इतना सन्नाटा होता है जैसे कोई लाश हो | किसी बिछड़े महबूब की कमी खलने लगी है, जहां चाह थी किसी के आगोश की वहाँ अपनों की महक भी नसीब नहीं हो रही | सोते जागते, रात दिन, वक्त कैसे बीत जाता है कोई खबर नहीं रहती, जिंदगी में भागते-भागते जिस्म जो खाली बनता जा रहा है | अंधेरे में रोशनी को ढूढ़ना कब छोड़ दिया याद नहीं, न जाने क्यूँ मौत को आपनी मंज़िल बना दिया |

 When I couldn't sing a song I read out my poetry,  When I couldn't play the music I danced along with it.  When I couldn't be a princess I became a loyal knight,  When I couldn't be the damsel I became the evil witch.  When they couldn't bear my courage  They called out on my audacity,  When they couldn't see me bloom They tried cutting off my roots.  When I couldn't stand the village  I was made an outcast,  When they couldn't get the job done I became the leader of the pack.  When I couldn't be seen as the hero I was molded into a villain,  When they couldn't stand me as the saviour  They dubbed me as the slayer.
