ACROPHOBIA
Bouquet of thorns, prettier than flowers
Who knew pain would taste better than pleasure?
Avoiding the rays of light reaching out to me,
Only to run in the maze of darkness.
Luring me so sweet, even poison smells divine
Climbing mountains just to fall into your abyss,
Praying for your presence just to feel lonely
Laughing at my misfortune that cannot be changed.
How do I know I am broken? What do I fix?
Staring at our world that loves to slice me open,
Where do I start catching up with you?
When I am falling generations behind.
Even my softest spot pricks you with discomfort,
Do I dare share my world with you?
I wish feelings were enough but they are not,
May I become your perfection as you are mine.
