SACRIFICE

  

There was a Duke with the face of the moon,

Who didn't knew his heart will fall soon.

There was a girl with the hair like sunshine,

Who grew up in the forest and it's vines.

They met each other when no one knew,

That their chronicles of pain wouldn't end at few.

As they tangled in the web of each other's blame,

They soon became each other's stain of shame.

One threw away love and dignity,

Garnering no rewards, but only the world's pity.

Other threw away grace and responsibility, 

Crushing the one in waves of insanity. 

Such destruction was their union to people,

That everyone tried to divide the couple. 

But fate played strange who threw them to misery, 

Where they became each other's adversary. 

To save their lives and fruit of love, 

They did separate with eons of secrets to resolve. 

Thus to appease everyone and no one to antagonise, 

They left their lives to be a sacrifice.
